Why that is the answer
You must take extra care around trams because they run on fixed tracks and cannot steer to avoid obstructions, hazards, or other vehicles in their path. If you block the rails or cut in front of a tram, the driver cannot swerve out of the way to avoid a crash. Trams do have headlights and loud horns, and although they can brake, they take longer to stop than cars.
