    Theory Test Booking Prices

Four straightforward packages, no hidden extras. Here is exactly what you get for your money and how to pick the right one.

We keep our pricing simple because learners have enough to think about without trying to decode a menu of add-ons. There are four packages below, and each one lists exactly what is included, in plain English. None of them include the DVSA theory test fee itself, which is currently £23 and paid separately to the DVSA when your test is booked.

If you already know you just want a test booked and sorted, go for Full Membership. If you would rather have physical revision material in your hands as well, the combined package covers both. If you are only stuck waiting for an earlier date, the cancellations-only option does that one job well.

    Full Membership — £49.00

This is our most popular package because it covers the whole journey from booking to passing. It includes your theory test booking, full access to our Theory Learning Hub for revision, one resit included if you do not pass first time, our theory test cancellation checker, our practical test cancellation checker for later on, and access to the Highway Code content on our platform.

The resit is worth being clear about: there is no minimum mark required to qualify for it. Some services only cover you if you narrowly failed. We do not do that. If your test does not go your way, for whatever reason, the included resit is there.

Full Membership plus Theory Books — £85.00

Everything in Full Membership, plus a set of revision books sent out to you by first class post: the AA Highway Code book, a set of L plates, a theory test educational colouring book, and the DVSA Official Theory Test book. This suits learners who want to revise away from a screen as well as online, or who are buying for a younger learner who benefits from having something physical to work through.

It is the best value combination if you know you want both the booking service and the books, since buying them separately would cost more than the £85 bundle price.

    Theory Books Only — £37.00

If you have already booked your test through GOV.UK, or you simply want the revision material without any of the booking or cancellation services, this package gets you the same four items: the AA Highway Code, L plates, the colouring book, and the DVSA Official Theory Test book, posted first class.

    Theory Cancellations Only — £19.99

For learners who already have a test booked but are stuck with a date weeks or months away. We check for earlier availability against the centres you choose and text you the moment something opens up. It does not include booking, revision access or a resit, just the cancellation checking service with text notifications.

    • Watches multiple test centres at once, not just one
    • Text notifications sent as soon as an earlier slot appears
    • No booking or revision access included at this price point

    Which package should you choose

Most first-time learners who have not booked anywhere yet should start with Full Membership. It is the package that actually moves you forward, because it gets a test in the diary and gives you somewhere structured to revise. Add the books if you know you like paper revision alongside a screen, or if you are buying this as a gift or for someone who is not naturally online-first.

If you have already sat your test once and it did not go to plan, and you are not already a member, Full Membership still makes sense because of the included resit. If you are already a member and just waiting on a date, the cancellations-only add-on is the cheapest route to move things forward.

    Frequently asked questions

Does any package include the DVSA test fee?

No. The £23 DVSA theory test fee is paid to the DVSA directly as part of booking your test and is separate from our package prices. Our fees cover booking, revision access, cancellation checking and resits, not the government fee itself.

Can I upgrade from one package to another later?

Yes, get in touch and we will talk you through moving up to a package with more included, such as adding cancellation checking or books to an existing Full Membership. You will only pay the difference, not the full price again.

Is there really no minimum mark for the free resit?

Correct. Some competitors only offer a free resit if you were close to passing. With Full Membership, however your test goes, the resit is included, no questions asked about your score.

How quickly do the books arrive?

We send book orders out by first class post as soon as your order is processed, so most learners in the UK receive them within a few working days. If yours has not turned up after a week, contact us and we will chase it.

Do I need a provisional licence before I buy?

You need a provisional driving licence to book a theory test, so have your licence number ready. You can still buy the books-only package without one, since that part has nothing to do with booking.

Is the cancellation checker guaranteed to find me an earlier date?

No service can guarantee a cancellation will appear, because that depends entirely on other learners changing or cancelling their tests through the DVSA. What we guarantee is that we actively watch for one and notify you the moment it shows.
