Why that is the answer
Large vehicles easily hide other road users from your view. Even if there seems to be enough time to turn ahead of the approaching lorry, another vehicle, such as a motorcycle or car, could be overtaking it at higher speed. Because the lorry blocks your view, you cannot see what is behind it. Highway Code guidance advises waiting until you have a clear, unobstructed view of the whole road before pulling out.
How this comes up in the real test
