Why that is the answer
When driving on a single-track road, pull into a passing place on your left to allow oncoming traffic to pass safely. If the passing place is on the right, wait opposite it rather than crossing the road. You must never force another driver to reverse, as this is unsafe and aggressive. Vehicle width does not dictate who uses a passing place, and you should only reverse if you are closer to a passing place behind you.
