Why that is the answer
When parking at night on a road where the speed limit is greater than 30 mph, the Highway Code states that you must leave your parking lights switched on. This ensures your vehicle is clearly visible to approaching traffic in higher-speed areas. You must also park facing in the direction of the traffic flow. Leaving headlights on is incorrect as they can dazzle other drivers and quickly drain your battery.
How this comes up in the real test
