Why that is the answer
Large vehicles need extra space to turn at junctions. To make a right turn, a long vehicle often needs to swing out to the left first so its rear wheels clear the corner. You must stay well back and wait behind them. Do not attempt to overtake on the right, as the vehicle will swing back across your path and could trap or hit you. Always follow Highway Code advice to give large vehicles plenty of room.
How this comes up in the real test
