Why that is the answer

Toucan crossings are designed specifically for pedestrians and cyclists to share the space and cross the road at the same time. The name comes from the phrase two can cross together. Unlike zebra or puffin crossings, cyclists are permitted to ride across without dismounting. Motorcyclists, bus drivers, and tram drivers operate motor traffic and must remain on the carriageway, so they cannot use pedestrian crossings.
