When is it permitted to enter a box junction?

Why that is the answer

You must not enter a box junction unless your exit road is clear, as these yellow criss-cross markings keep the intersection free for other traffic. The only exception is when turning right, provided oncoming traffic is the only thing stopping you. Never enter just because other drivers wave you through or because there are few vehicles ahead; you must check for yourself that there is space on the far side.

How this comes up in the real test
