Why that is the answer
Bus lanes help keep public transport moving during busy periods. You are permitted to drive in a bus lane outside its operational hours, which are clearly shown on the blue information signs. If no times are displayed, the lane operates 24 hours a day. According to the Highway Code, you must never use a bus lane to overtake slow traffic or skip queues during its hours of operation, as this is illegal.
