    For instructors

    Work with us

Driving instructor jobs with no franchise fee, no minimum hours and a diary you control. We bring the learners and handle the admin; you teach.

    Why instructors join us

    No franchise fee

Nothing deducted from your rate and nothing to pay up front. You are not renting a pitch from us.

    Your diary, your rules

You set the days, hours and radius. We only offer courses that fit inside them.

    Admin handled

Enquiries, payments, scheduling and reschedules are ours. You get a booked course and a briefed learner.

    The detail

    Who we are looking for

Fully qualified DVSA approved driving instructors (ADIs) with a current green badge, a valid enhanced DBS check and their own dual-controlled car. We also work with PDIs on a pink badge where the local trainer situation supports it, but the majority of our courses go to ADIs with intensive experience.

The single biggest thing we look for is honesty about readiness. Intensive courses only work when the instructor tells the learner the truth about test standard, even when that conversation is awkward and even when it means shortening a booking.

What working with us actually involves

We match learners to instructors, handle the enquiry, the payment and the scheduling admin, and pass you a booked course with a learner who already knows what they are paying and roughly how many hours they need. You teach; we deal with the phone calls, the reschedules and the card payments.

You keep control of your diary. You tell us the days, hours and radius you will cover and we only offer you work inside them. There is no obligation to take a course you cannot deliver properly, and turning work down does not move you down a queue.

There is no franchise fee, no car lease tied to us and no minimum hours. You are not buying a pitch — you are choosing which of the courses we already have in your area you want to pick up.

Intensive teaching is a different job

Two to four hour sessions across consecutive days demand a different lesson plan from a weekly hour. Fatigue management, structured breaks and consolidating the same skill across two sessions rather than two months all matter, and the learners arriving on an intensive course usually have a hard deadline behind them.

If you have only taught weekly lessons, that is fine — we will start you on shorter blocks and semi-intensive courses while you build the rhythm. What we will not do is hand a brand new intensive instructor a 40 hour beginner course in week one.

    Pay and how it works

Instructors are paid an agreed hourly rate per taught hour, invoiced on a regular cycle. We tell you the rate for a course before you accept it, so you are never guessing what a booking is worth.

You are self-employed. That means you are responsible for your own tax, National Insurance, business insurance and vehicle costs, and you set your own availability. We do not deduct a franchise fee from your rate.

    Standards we hold to

Valid ADI or PDI registration checked against the DVSA register, current enhanced DBS, business insurance covering tuition, and a dual-controlled car in roadworthy condition with a current MOT. We ask to see all of it before your first booking and we re-check it.

We also read learner feedback carefully. Consistent reports of cancelled sessions, sessions cut short or pressure to book extra hours end the working relationship — the whole model depends on learners trusting the recommendation they were given.

    How to apply

Email info@fasttrackdrivinglessons.co.uk with your ADI or PDI number, the postcodes you cover, whether your car is manual or automatic, and the days you have available. We will come back to you with what demand looks like in your area before asking for any documents.

If there is no demand where you are yet, we will say that rather than take your details and go quiet. We would rather tell an instructor the truth than build a list we cannot give work to.

Learners looking for lessons should start on our courses page instead — courses run from £612.28 for 10 hours.

    Instructor questions

    Is this a franchise?

No. There is no franchise fee, no branded car requirement and no minimum weekly hours. You pick up courses we have in your area, on the days you have told us you are available.

Do I need my own car?

Yes. You need your own dual-controlled car, roadworthy, with a current MOT and insurance that covers paid tuition. We do not lease cars.

    Can PDIs apply?

Yes, in some areas. Trainee instructors on a valid pink badge can take suitable work where local demand and your trainer's arrangements allow, though most intensive courses go to fully qualified ADIs.

How much work will I get?

It depends entirely on learner demand in your postcodes and how wide your availability is. We will be straight with you about the current picture in your area before you fill anything in.

Who deals with the learner's payment?

We do. Learners pay us for the course, and instructors invoice us for taught hours. You never have to chase a learner for money.

What if a learner needs more hours than they booked?

Tell us and we will arrange the extra hours with them at the same hourly rate. What we ask is that the conversation is honest and early, not on the morning of the test.

    Can I teach automatic only?

Yes. Automatic demand is growing quickly and we match on transmission, so an automatic-only instructor is never sent a manual booking.

Do I have to accept every booking offered?

No. You can decline any course for any reason and it does not affect what you are offered next.
