Why we are careful with discounts

The cheapest driving course is the one that gets you through the test first time. A discount that shaves £40 off a course two hours too short costs far more than it saves once you add a failed test fee, the wait for another slot and the refresher hours in between.

That is why we hold one rate rather than running rolling sales. Permanent discounting only works if the headline price was inflated to begin with, and instructors are the ones who end up absorbing it. If you want to know what your course should realistically cost, run the hours estimator or read the full pricing breakdown.

    Offers and discounts: common questions

    Do you run discount codes?

Occasionally, and only where the maths works without cutting instructor pay. When a code is running it appears on this page and in the promo bar at the top of the site. If a third-party site is advertising a Fast Track code that is not listed here, it is not ours.

    Is there a student discount?

We do not run a permanent student rate. Our hourly rate is the same for everyone and already below the typical UK average once you compare like for like, so a headline student discount would mean quietly raising the base price first.

Do longer courses cost less per hour?

No, and that is deliberate. Every course is £61.23 an hour whether you book 10 hours or 40. Tiered per-hour pricing pushes learners into buying more hours than they need, which is the opposite of what we want.

    Can I refer a friend?

Yes. If a friend books a course and names you, email info@fasttrackdrivinglessons.co.uk and we will confirm what is currently available for referrals. We keep referral rewards simple and we do not require you to sign up to anything.

    Do you price match?

We look at genuine like-for-like quotes — same hours, same transmission, DVSA-approved instructor, no hidden booking fee. A lot of cheaper headline prices come with a smaller course or an added admin charge, so send us the full quote and we will tell you honestly how it compares.

Are there discounts on test fees?

No, and nobody can offer them. The theory test fee (£23) and practical test fee (£62 for a weekday test in 2026) are set by the DVSA and paid to the government. Anyone advertising a cheap DVSA test is charging you for booking admin, not a lower fee.

Not sure how many hours you need?
