1. Who we are

MH Cancellations Ltd (company number 11921914), registered at Suite 9, Silk House, Park Green, Macclesfield, England, SK11 7QJ, trading as Fast Track Driving Lessons, is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office as a data controller.

2. The data we collect

We only collect what we need to arrange driving tuition and run the site:

• Name, email address, phone number and postcode — so we can match you to an instructor and contact you about your course.
• Your driving experience, licence status and preferred transmission — so we recommend a sensible course length.
• Booking, payment and refund records — held to run your course and to meet accounting and tax obligations.
• Theory test practice results, XP and streaks, where you create an account — held so your progress is there when you return.
• Technical data such as IP address, device type and pages viewed — used to keep the site secure and to understand what learners find useful.

3. Why we can use it (lawful bases)

• Contract — arranging, delivering and administering your driving course, including passing your details to the driving instructor allocated to you.
• Legitimate interests — improving the service, preventing fraud and misuse, keeping records of enquiries, and sending service messages about a booking you have made.
• Consent — optional marketing emails, non-essential cookies and analytics. You can withdraw consent at any time.
• Legal obligation — accounting, tax and responding to lawful requests from authorities.

4. Who we share it with

We share your details with the driving instructor or driving school allocated to your course so they can contact you and deliver your lessons. Instructors are independent DVSA approved driving instructors and act as separate controllers for the tuition they provide.

We also use service providers who process data on our behalf under written contracts: hosting and database providers, payment processors, email delivery and analytics providers. We do not sell your personal data. Where data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Addendum.

5. How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: 12 months from your last contact.
• Booking, payment and course records: 6 years after the end of the tax year in which the course ended, to meet HMRC requirements.
• Account and theory practice data: until you delete your account, or after 24 months of inactivity.
• Cookie consent records: 12 months.

6. Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to processing, request data portability, and withdraw consent where consent is the lawful basis. Ask us at privacy@fasttrackdrivinglessons.co.uk and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put it right first.

7. Security and children

We use encrypted connections, access controls and reputable UK/EU hosting. No system is perfectly secure, so we also limit the data we collect in the first place.

Our service is aimed at learner drivers aged 17 and over (16 for some categories). We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16 without parental involvement.
