Why that is the answer
Under the New Drivers Act, accumulating six or more penalty points within two years of passing your first practical test results in your licence being revoked. You will revert to provisional status and must reapply for a provisional licence. To regain your full licence, you cannot simply retake one section; you must re-sit and pass both the theory and practical tests again.
