Why that is the answer
You must wait behind the stop line if the red lights continue to flash after a train has passed. Flashing red lights mean another train is approaching, possibly from the opposite direction. Never proceed with caution or try to edge forward, as this is extremely dangerous. Only move off once the lights have gone out and the barriers have fully raised, as required by the Highway Code.
