Why that is the answer
This temporary sign warns you that the right-hand lane is closed ahead, usually due to roadworks or an obstruction. You should move safely into the open lane in good time as indicated by the arrows. It does not mean the lane is just narrow or reserved for buses; vehicles cannot continue using it. Merging early and safely helps keep traffic flowing smoothly, as advised in the Highway Code.
How this comes up in the real test
