Why that is the answer
Triangular traffic signs give warnings. This sign warns you that a cycle route or crossing is ahead, giving you time to scan for cyclists joining or crossing the road. Red circular signs give prohibitions, such as cycles not permitted, while blue circular signs show mandatory instructions. Rectangular signs usually give information. Knowing that triangles warn and circles give orders helps you correctly identify road signs during your driving test and on the road.
