Why that is the answer
Red bordered circles give orders that you must obey, usually telling you what you must not do, such as speed limits or no-entry restrictions. As set out in the Highway Code, sign shapes have specific meanings to help you react quickly. Circular signs give orders, triangular signs give warnings, and rectangular signs give information or directions. Ignoring order signs is illegal and dangerous.
How this comes up in the real test
