Why that is the answer
Four-wheel drive delivers power to all four wheels rather than just two, giving the vehicle maximum traction and increasing grip on the road. This helps when accelerating or driving on slippery surfaces like ice, snow, or mud. Crucially, four-wheel drive does not decrease stopping distances, as braking relies on tyre tread and brake efficiency. It also uses more fuel because of the added weight and extra moving parts.
