Why that is the answer
Strong side winds are most dangerous on open stretches of road, such as exposed high ground, bridges, or causeways, because there are no buildings, trees, or embankments to shelter your vehicle. Long, busy, or narrow roads do not increase wind risk unless they are also exposed. When driving in windy conditions, keep a firm grip on your steering wheel and leave extra space for cyclists, motorcyclists, and high-sided vehicles that may be blown off course.
