Why that is the answer
When high temperatures cause bitumen in the road surface to melt and soften, it creates a slick layer. This significantly reduces the friction between the road and your tyres, directly reducing tyre grip. As a result, your vehicle takes longer to stop and can easily skid, especially when cornering or braking hard.
