Why that is the answer
At an unmarked crossroads, no driver has automatic priority. You must slow down, look both ways, and be prepared to stop if necessary. Never assume that another vehicle will give way to you. Accelerating into the junction or driving in the middle of the road is extremely dangerous and could easily lead to a collision. Always approach with caution and check all directions, in line with Highway Code guidance for unmarked junctions.
How this comes up in the real test
