Why that is the answer
The Highway Code states that your first priority at an incident is to make the scene safe and prevent further collisions. Warning oncoming traffic alerts other drivers to the danger, protecting yourself and the unconscious rider. You should never move an injured casualty unless they are in immediate, life-threatening danger, as this could worsen a spinal injury. Reassuring an unconscious rider is not possible, and clearing debris is a lower priority.
How this comes up in the real test
