Why that is the answer
When your view at a junction is blocked, stop at the line and edge forward slowly until you can see clearly. This gives you time to look for oncoming traffic, particularly vulnerable road users like cyclists and pedestrians, without pulling into their path. Moving out quickly is dangerous as you cannot react to unseen hazards. Sounding your horn does not replace a clear view, and leaving your vehicle is unsafe and unnecessary.
