Why that is the answer
Large vehicles need extra room when turning into tight junctions. To turn left, they often swing out to the right first so their rear wheels clear the corner. You should slow down, drop back, and give them space to complete the manoeuvre. Never try to squeeze past on the left, as you could end up in their blind spot and cause a serious collision when the vehicle turns across your path.
