Why that is the answer
At higher motorway speeds, your vehicle covers ground much faster. Scanning further ahead gives you extra time to spot hazards early, read gantries, and react smoothly. You must always maintain a safe separation gap of at least two seconds, never a short one. Full concentration is essential on all roads, not just motorways, and your speed should always suit the traffic and weather conditions rather than just being fast.
