Why that is the answer
When approaching a bridge, your view ahead may be limited and the road could narrow significantly. You should decrease your speed to give yourself time to react to potential hazards, such as oncoming vehicles positioned in the middle of the road. Moving over to the right would be dangerous as it puts you directly in the path of oncoming traffic. Slowing down allows you to stop safely in line with Highway Code guidance.
How this comes up in the real test
