Why that is the answer
Rumble strips are raised strips laid across or along the road surface. They create noise and vibration through your vehicle's tyres to alert you to an upcoming hazard, such as a roundabout, sharp bend, or reduced speed limit. They are designed to improve driver awareness, not to give directions or monitor tyre pressure. Cattle grids, rather than rumble strips, are used to prevent livestock from escaping.
